Terruá

Terruá (fr. terroir) is a concept used in viticulture to describe a unique set of environmental factors, such as soil, climate, topography, as well as human factors, such as traditions and practices, that influence the character, quality and flavor of wine produced from grapes grown in these conditions.

For the Chongo y Telo wine, we chose Malbec and Tannat grape varieties grown in unusual soil. The vineyard is located in the province of Buenos Aires, forty kilometers from the Atlantic Ocean.

The soils in this place are sandy, contain little organic matter and a lot of calcium, because this place used to be an ocean floor. As a result, the soils are rich in minerals that enrich the grapes.

The maximum temperature in the summer period is 33°C, and the average temperature varies from 33°C to 16°C.

There are strong winds in this area.

This ensures a healthy harvest, as it does not allow excess humidity to remain on the vines.

Thanks to this, our wines have lively and memorable characters, which transmit the very essence of the conception established in the names of each one of them.

CHOGNO

Chongo - has an intense, unforgettable and seductive aroma and flavor.

From the first sip you will feel spicy notes of black peppers and cayenne that warm like an embrace, lightly burning the lips, like a passionate kiss.

The wine has a good structure, like well defined muscles, with a long finish that leaves a memory of a warm evening and the temperament we expect from a Chongo
